No sympathy flowers for me!

Some people request to have no flowers at there funeral. Especially if maybe the family need help with paying for the funeral service instead of spending money on sympathy flowers they ask everyone to give a donation. If you know of someone who did not like flowers than there is no reason to bring them flowers not. If this is the request of the family then the funeral director should contact the florist in that area to let them know incase someone comes in the order flowers.


Another reaseon someone make not want any sympathy flowers is because they want there flowers while they are still living. They can't enjoy them when they are dead and gone. People sometimes gives plants that they have grown themselves if they know it was something that the person like. Some even set out plants at the grave site. If the person was a gardener then you would have a larger selection to chose from. A fresh cut of flowers would make a beautiful sympathy arrangement. Burial arrangement do not have to made after your you or your love one has pass on. It is a good idea to go ahead and plan this day. Alot of people do not like to even talk about it. But is it something we all have to do one day or another. So take some of the burden off of your love one and have this done. Some funeral homes offer different plans for burial. For instance, if you want a certian type of casket, how long you want to stay out before the burial day. Some people can only be held out for a number of days. White american cannot be held out for a long period of time (3 to 4 days) where as an African american can be held out a longer period of time (7 to 10 days). This will depend on the condition of your body at the tiem of death. Most african american funerals is larger, the family want limisouine to carry to family members to the church, to the cemetary and back home. There are obituaries that is given out the family members and friends, which includes the program of the funeral services. The flowers and cards which come from other friends perhaps who was unable to attend the services are read out during the services. This is alot for someone who is in sympathy to get together for a burial arrangement. When you decide which funeral home you would like to handle your burial arrangement set up an appointment with them to start working on your arrangement. Keep a copy of this for any changes you can have them with you. Also, if you are marry your spouse should be included in this burial arrangement to keep any confusion from arriving later. Also you can have this approved by a lawyer if you have a will in place put this information in your will. You may want to even send a copy to your insurance company and/or place this with your insurance policy. Remember whatever you choose and decide to change you will need to go over this same

Sometimes you can not afford to buy a sympathy flower will someone is ill and a lost of a love one or friend. Now there are so many different sympathy cards with different designs texture and even the cards that sings. To may a card a special one try making it our self. I know you have heard about scrape booking well try scrap carding. Using some material that you make have around the house like an gift bag, old flowers, cloth, a shoebox, colors maker, even a pizza cutter. Place all your material together to see what matches your idea or something that you know the person you are making the card likes. Do not clue anything permanently until you have the card like you want it. First you want to write down all the encouraging words, and/or expression you want to use(if you can't think of anything who want to say look at some old cards and cut out the words and use some old books, magazine, newspaper) this will add some different texture of print on your card. The more work you put in this card the better you feel when you deliver it to that person. The shoebox can be used to actually make the card so you can attach your work on it. Use the different types of cloth to cut out designs like hearts, flowers, trees etc. The pizza cutter can cut a window in the card or an design on the edge of a card. Old flower can be torn apart and put in a design, shape or use to decorate the outside of a card. This is just some of the ways you can save, money but express the way your feel.
